Overview
Obstetrics and gynecology is a medical field that focuses on women’s health. It includes two main areas: obstetrics, which deals with pregnancy and childbirth, and gynaecology, which focuses on the health of the female reproductive system.
Obstetrics involves the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the time after delivery. Obstetricians monitor the health of both the mother and baby, providing guidance on nutrition, exercise, and overall care during pregnancy, and managing labour and delivery to ensure a safe birth.
Gynecology is concerned with the female reproductive system and includes the diagnosis and treatment of conditions like menstrual problems, fertility issues, and conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, or pelvic health concerns. Gynecologists also provide preventive care, such as routine exams, screenings, and birth control services.
Nelson hospital provides various Obstetrics & Gynecology treatments with proper care.
